How do I book a room?

Simply click on the “Book” link in the top left or click here and do everything online, including our self checkin instructions and special promotions provided to our guests by some great local partners.  Still need help? Email stay@stonewallmotorlodge.com or call 830-644-1040.

Can I cancel my reservation?

Yes, you can cancel penalty free for up to 72 hours before your arrival by emailing stay@stonewallmotorlodge.com. Cancellations less than 72 hours are non-refundable unless we are able to rebook those rooms. Effective March 7, 2026, certain dates require a 21 day cancellation to receive a full refund. These dates include June 15-25, Dec 23-Jan 1. Reservations made after March 7, 2026 and include any of these dates require a 21 day notice to cancel and receive a full refund. Please email us as soon as you can so we can open the rooms up for rebooking.

How do I know which room I want?

We sit on 3 acres, and you can choose from a room in the original L shape motel, a cabin or an RV slot. Luckily, we put together this little map to help you find the perfect room!

Check In

How do I check-in?

We are a self check-in property. You will receive a code on your confirmation email that allows you to enter your room. That code is valid only during your stay. It is generally the last 4 digits of your phone number plus the # sign. Please call us at 210-865-8040 if you have any issues.

We are a contactless property and there is no lobby checkin process. You can go straight to your room after 3pm checkin time. If you will be checking in later than 8pm and think you will need assistance, please email them at stay@stonewallmotorlodge.com to make arrangements. Checkout is 11am and your code will cease to work after that time.

Where do I park?

This is the good news! As a motel, you’ll find parking directly in front of the rooms. No more valet, luggage carts, or dragging luggage up stairs or elevators. Handicap parking is available. If needed, overflow parking can be found in the back acreage by the cabins.

When will my credit card be charged for my reservation?

Your credit card is charged at the time of booking for the full reservation amount, including hotel taxes.

 

 

During Your Stay

Do you serve breakfast?

Each room has a Keurig and coffee to start your morning. You’ll also find a self-service coffee station in our lounge and we often have breakfast items like oatmeal, pastries, and more. We have a vending machine, but there is a General Store, Weinheimer & Sons, right down the street.

So, where do we eat?

Visit our friends at Weinheimer & Sons for groceries, personal items, to go sandwiches (closed Sundays). For lunch, we have Ranch Road 1623 Burgers and a great mexican food truck across the street in the Las Casadores parking lot. Many restaurants can be found in Fredericksburg or Johnson City for lunch or dinner. Favorites include Hill & Vine, Pecan Street Brewery, Bryan’s on 290, Woerner Warehouse, and The Hitchin Post.

Where can we hang out around property?

You have a few options. Head up to the 2nd floor deck to enjoy a breeze. Sectional sofas, chairs, and a large table can accommodate smaller groups of up to 20. We also have an indoor lounge with a TV and coffee station if you prefer indoors. Or head out back to the pasture to sit under the light filled trees or the new Barn, an indoor/outdoor social area with a TV. All social areas open from 7am to midnight so our guests can enjoy some quiet sleep time.

Can I smoke or vape in the room?

We are a smoke free property. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the rooms, walkways, lounge, or grounds. If we determine smoking has occurred in your room (cigarette, vaping, incense), we will add a $250 cleaning charge to your bill.

Do you have wifi?

Yes, and it’s fast.

If I want to just stay in my room, do I have a TV?

Yes, each room has a wall mounted TV with Netflix and Pluto provided. Pluto provided Live TV options such as Fox Sports, CNN, Bloomberg, NBC News, movies and more. We do not offer cable TV at this time.

Will I have a phone in my room?

We do not provide phones in the rooms. You can reach our staff for any questions, issues, or even just a recommendation on where to go or eat by texting or calling 830-644-1040.

Do you clean the room every day?

We currently do not provide daily housekeeping. If you need anything (extra coffee, toiletries, towels), just let us know.

Can I hold a meeting, event, or wedding at the SML?

Can I bring my dog, cat, fish, or any other pet?

We do not accept pets. As much as we love pets, we are considerate to the noise and allergies of some guests. Please do not try to sneak your pets in as we will see you on the public cameras located throughout the property (yes, this has happened). Guests who bring unauthorized animals are subjected to an automatic $250 service charge. Of course, service animals are welcome (please let us know during your reservation). Service animals are welcome.
